The P.A. Class of 2013 actively recognized P.A. Week this year with a variety of unique class and community events. To kickstart the week, the P.A. class sponsored a breakfast for MUSC’s second year medical students as an informal way of furthering interprofessional camaraderie among the University’s programs. Coinciding with Charleston’s weekly farmer’s market, the students organized a walk through downtown Charleston Saturday morning, calling it the PArade to promote awareness of the profession. Students passed out goodies and shared with locals and tourists their passion for their future careers. …

For the next seven days, the PA Class of 2013 will be celebrating National PA Week in commemoration of the first class of physician assistants who graduated from Duke University on October 6, 1967.
